U.S. Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Trump's Travel Ban 3.0
Sadly, the U.S. Supreme Court held in a 5-4 decision in DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITEDSTATES, ET AL., PETITIONERS v. HAWAII, ET AL. on this past Tuesday in favor of the third version of the Trump Administration's (Muslim) travel ban through reversing the injunction granted by the lower courts; the U.S. Supreme Court held in favor of the Trump Administration by viewing the President's powers for national security to be broad and by considering Trump's discriminatory comments on the Travel Ban to be irrelevant to the case. Hopefully this win for the Trump Administration does not indicate that Trump's other clearly discriminatory and inhumane immigration policies will be upheld by the nation's highest court.
For more information regarding the specifics of the Travel Ban 3.0, please, refer to this earlier article while keeping in mind that Chad is no longer restricted (as of April 13, 2018).
If your travel to the U.S. is restricted due to this Travel Ban and you still wish to travel to the U.S., you may want to contact a U.S. immigration attorney to assist you in overcoming the restriction (e.g., by obtaining a waiver).
