UPDATE Diversity Visa Lottery FY2023

If you were selected in the Diversity Visa Lottery for Fiscal Year 2023 (DV-2023), the U.S. Department of State has clarified that you may submit your DS-260 and the DS-260 of your accompanying family member(s) to the Kentucky Consular Section (KCC) without the required supporting evidence. The required supporting evidence will be submitted directly to the Embassy/Consulate for the Immigrant Visa Interview. Upon receiving the submitted DS-260(s), the KCC will first check for completeness, and, if the submitted DS-260(s) is complete and the applicant's visa case is current per the corresponding month's Department of State Visa Bulletin, the applicant will be eligible to be scheduled for the Immigrant Visa interview.

DV-2023 runs from October 1, 2022 - September 30, 2023. Being selected does not guarantee that you will receive an immigrant visa interview or an immigrant visa. You may check to see if your number is current per the Department of State Visa Bulletin each month here. If there is a cut off for the selectee's geographical region, the selectee's number would need to be below the number in the corresponding space in the chart. The Immigrant Visa for the Diversity Visa Lottery cannot be issued after September 30.

The U.S. Department of State has already published the chart for October 2022 in the September Visa Bulletin:

C. THE DIVERSITY (DV) IMMIGRANT CATEGORY RANK CUT-OFFS WHICH WILL APPLY IN OCTOBER

For October, immigrant numbers in the DV category are available to qualified DV-2023 applicants chargeable to all regions/eligible countries as follows.
