More Temporary Good News For DACA: Nothing Will Change

TODAY- The highly anticipated decision from Judge Andrew Hanen of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Texas has arrived: the Judge will not grant a preliminary injunction halting DACA as requested by the state of Texas along with a handful of other states. In reaching his decision, although the Judge determined that DACA is likely unconstitutional, he held against granting the preliminary injunction due to the Plaintiffs waiting too long to bring their case and the fact that granting the injunction would cause too much harm to the approximately 700,000 DACA holders.
